| Prerequisites | Pass on the Basics of Prehospital Emergency Care and Ethics, Basics of Clinical Nursing or the student has gained the corresponding knowledge. |
| Objectives | Student has knowledge of prehospital emergency care at basic level as a part of overall medical care. Student has a patient-oriented approach to emergency care. Student demonstrates ability to work in pairs, examine patients systematically and structured manner, carry out examinations independently at basic level and provide valid treatment for patients. Student has knowledge of safe basic level prehospital care techniques, communication and basics of data transfer techniques. Student has knowledge of proficiency requirements for prehospital emergency care at basic level, Student is able to act accordance obligations, responsibilities and standards of profession-al behaviour of basic level paramedic. |
| Content | Prehospital emergency care techniques at basic level; Systematic examination of the patient, basic level interventions and procedures on-scene, assessment of response; documentation and information. Consultation. Care of dead patients. Medication and medication calculations. Technology in prehospital emergency nursing at basic level. Knowledge, reasoning and problem solving skills in determine appropriate treatment decisions and actions. Obligations and responsibilities in prehospital emergency care at basic level. |
