Objectives | The student understands the principle of district heating (DH). S/he knows the ways of producing district heating, network structures, sub stations and heat metering equipment. The student is able to calculate heat losses in the network and knows the basic principles of network planning and construction. The student knows the sizing of Sub Station and dimensioning of control valves. The student understand basics of heat production plants and different pumping systems in district heating. S/he understand the heat measurement system and equipment. |

You know what affect to network sizing and you know the principles of network construction. You calculate size of production unit and select pumps and booster pumps. good (3-4) You calculate heat losses of network and define topics related to network sizing, and you understand main principles on network construction. You measure and select the substation and control valves. You understand the principle on district heat measurement. excellent (5) You know the tariff systems of district heating. You understand contributing factors of heating and domestic hot water control. You justify your calculations and selection of equipment. |
