The objective of the Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering is to train engineers that, in addition to mechanical engineering skills, have a good knowledge of information technology and product development, basic knowledge of company logistics and expenditures as well as the command of foreign languages required in this profession.The engineers also have to meet the needs of the people involved in technological applications. The graduates work in diverse positions as experts and managers in different fields of industry.
After graduating you will have the knowledge and skills of professional Sustainable Product Development Engineer to work in expert and managerial positions in different fields of industry.
Key contents of your professional studies in the field of sustainable mechanical engineering are, for instance, mechanical design, intelligent automation and robotics, management of the product development process and projects, while sustainability is a cross-cutting theme in your studies. You will learn how to develop smart and sustainable products and services. You will grow to understand material technologies with focus on sustainability and lifetime cost approach.
The degree programme is versatile, and the studies are carried out in close cooperation with different companies of the region and with other educational organisations. In addition to the basic and
