Objectives | The student gains the basic knowledge of hematopoiesis, types of blood cells and coagulation. The student develops skills in microscopic identification of blood cells. The student acquires basic knowledge of the body¿s immunological defence system, its function and the most common perturbations in the immune response. |
Content | Blood cells: production and regulation; structure and functions; coagulation and fibrinolysis, and their regulation. Trombosytes. Antibodies, congenital defence mechanism; learned immunity; immune response; regulation of immune reaction. |
