O1043BA	Sample Collection (3 cr)
Prerequisites	No prerequisites needed.
Objectives	The student is willing to gain proficiency in sampling by deepening his/her knowledge about sampling action. The student demonstrates ability to assess and develop the quality of client-oriented sampling and pay attention to patient safety. The student is able to give clients and the personnel instructions concerning sampling. The student has knowledge of the preanalytic factors influencing results reliability, patient safety and health care quality. The student has an understanding of the importance of collaboration. The student recognises the needs for developing the sampling practices, and demonstrates ability to apply knowledge to practice thus increasing the knowledge about preanalytic factors.
Content	Sampling as a part of the laboratory quality system. Special issues concerning sampling. Communications and forms of communication. Guidance.
