Objectives | The student understands the importance of the reliability of point-of-care testing and appreciates the quality of specimen collection. The student has knowledge of the latest point-of-care tests and the methods used in point-of-care testing. The student demonstrates ability to choose the most adequate laboratory test for the diagnosis, assess and increase the quality of point-of-care testing at every step of the laboratory process, do knowledge-based work and promote good laboratory practices. The student has an understanding of the obstacles and prerequisites for point-of-care testing in health care. The Biomedical Laboratory Technologist student is able to work as an expert in point-of-care testing and quality promotion and collaborate with other occupational groups. |
