Description


O1039BA Basics of Molecular Biology and Gene Technology (3 cr)
Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives The student has knowledge of the basics of molecular biology and gene technology. The student familiarizes him/herself with the use of gene technology and cell culture in diverse laboratory practices.
Content The fundamentals of gene technology. DNA isolation and techniques for DNA replication. Electrophoretic techniques: DNA isolation, RNA isolation and DNA sequencing. Basics of cell culture and the use of cultured cells.
