Objectives | The student has familiarized him/herself with clinical chemistry as a speciality, laboratory examinations and analytical methods. The student demonstrates ability to assess the quality of biochemical investigations. |
Content | Clinical chemistry as a laboratory field. Principles of chromatographic methods and electrophoresis. Endocrinological, pharmacological and toxicological laboratory examinations. Intoxicant testing. Investigation of trace elements and vitamins. Investigation of fluid balance and acid-base balance. Investigation of allergies. Preanalytics in biochemical investigations. Development of clinical chemistry and quality assessment. |
