Objectives | The student has knowledge of the basic laboratory techniques and demonstrates ability to use the basic laboratory instruments. The student familiarizes him/herself with the basics of occupational health and safety and develops skills for being able to transform knowledge of environmental and occupational safety into practice. |
Content | Basic laboratory equipment and apparatus. Measuring, weighing and centrifugation. Pipetting and pipetting ergonomy. Care of instruments. Chemical occupational safety; biological risk factors; electrical and radiation safety; fire safety. Basics of waste management. Industrial safety legislation. |
