The master degree programme in Automotive management has been designed to professionals who work in the expert tasks, middle management, primarily the sales or teaching of the field. The studies give students the newest and most profound information of the automotive management field and readiness to work in the developing tasks and management tasks. The core of the degree programme is a practice-oriented point of view to automotive management. The studies give students preconditions for the beginning of entrepreneurship.
The knowledge objectives of the degree have been specified together with the working life. The education is down-to-earth and offers solutions to the changing needs for the business world. After the studies of the Master’s degree of the automotive management field, students also have a display from the analysis ability and experience of the demanding development project of the field. It is expected that the chosen student group is the professionals who are familiar with the automotive management field and who have good preconditions to carry out the challenging development project of the field. The education prepares for working in a management developing tasks as an entrepreneur.

The study programme consists of 60 ECTS and it can be divided into three parts: Advanced professional competences 15 ECTS, Advanced generic competences 15 ECTS, Thesis 30 ECTS. The advanced professional competences studies provide state-of-the-art and in-depth knowledge in the field of automotive management field as well as improve the capacity for development and leadership positions. Advanced generic competences 15 ECTS studies are planned to be flexible in terms of time and place. The study programme is based on a pragmatic approach which is in particular applied in the advanced professional studies. Students are in charge of planning, testing as well as implementation of a development project stemming from real life situations and in this way they develop as independent innovators.

Half of the courses in Advanced generic Studies (15 ECTS) are implemented in cooperation with OUAS with all departments in the field of technology and are offered by all Master's Degree Programs of OUAS. The way of implementation develops co-operation opportunities both in technology and at OUAS. Advanced professional Studies (15 ECTS credits) are based on co-operation with industry, private and public sector.
