Learning outcomes:

 

After successfully completing the course the student is able to: design the structure of a database using ER-modelling, create a database and make an application which uses the database, and carry-out the common database-server administration procedures. Students have the basic knowledges about NoSQL-databases.

Contents:

 

Relational databases, database management systems, database design and maintenance, database-server administration, ER-modelling, referential integrity, normalization, SQL-language. NoSQL-databases.
