O3312FT Nature and Adventure Promoting Well-being (3 cr)
Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives The student is able to classify factors that are illustrating the outward bound experience to be a social and participating process. The student is able to analyze the meaningfulness and safety of activities carried out in nature. The student is able as part of interprofessional group to plan, carry out and evaluate camps, trips and events both in built and natural environments considering safety and ecology as well as individual resources and needs of variable clients, also those with special needs. The student is able to identify new competences and emotions from her/himself that have risen up by using outdoor adventure activities.
Content Basics of out-door adventure education. Basic skills for coping with nature. Safety and ecology aspects while planning and carrying out the out-door adventures. Planning and carrying out events in nature and/or with adventure.
