Objectives | The student understands rehabilitation as a statutory, historic and extensive service system and a well defined and planned process based on the goals of the client to be rehabilitated. The student sees rehabilitation not only from his/her own future profession¿s point of view, but takes into consideration other professions participating in rehabilitation. The student is able to define resource-oriented rehabilitation from the viewpoint of his/her own profession to come. He/she uses the key concepts of rehabilitation in a manner well adapted to the purpose. He/she can apply knowledge concerning multiprofessional collaboration at work. |
Content | Key concepts of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation legislation and ethical starting points. Stages of rehabilitation. Rehabilitation service system. Rehabilitation as a defined and planned process. Recovery and rehabilitation process. Deficiency-centred and empowering model. International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), biopsychosocial approach. Rehabilitating action and approach to work. Multiprofessional collaboration with the focus on the whole person getting rehabilitation. |
