YY00BH04	Entrepreneurship (3 cr)
Prerequisites	No prerequisities needed.
Objectives	The student shall know the main definitions and contents, know the main contents of the entrepreneurship processes: from business idea to new venture creation. The student is able to scan, recognize and model and also to evaluate business opportunities, especially in his/her own field. The student has the knowledge to build support networks for new venture creation. The student explores information of the entrepreneur as a career.
Content	Definitions of entrepreneurship, entrepreneur minded behaviour, the meaning of entrepreneurship in society, a business idea/an invention to new venture creation: business opportunity, business model, business plan, recognition of a business opportunity, evaluation, development, representation and also taking advantage of the profitable business opportunity. Entrepreneur capabilities. Support networks of entrepreneurship and key stakeholders. Support of OUAS for new venture creation. Business Kitchen/business incubator visit or expert lectures of these subjects.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods	The course will be consisting of field wor, lectures, and team-work. The main method is solution creation to real business situations by using problem-based learning. In order to gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the concepts as well as to develop practical competencies, participants are expected to maintain a minimum of 70% attendance of sessions.

Further Information	Assignment for the course is a representation of a business idea (for example business model canvas or some other format). The team should composite two to four people. With your assignment, you can participate to business idea competition (for example Kickstart or other).
