Objectives | The student understands and is able to use the basic terminology of trauma patient´s imaging and interprofessional collacoration. The student understands the general principles and modalities of trauma imaging. The student is able to explain the effects of high energy accidents, to describe injury mechanisms and anatomy and physiology, to explain primary survey, to describe patient´s care and radiological examinations, to explain the use contrast media, to explain the radiation protection of patient and staff. The student is able to assess and manage the care of a trauma patient from different professional perspectives. The student is able to work in an interprofessional team. |
Content | Terminology of trauma patient´s imaging and care; General principles and modalities of trauma imaging and patient´s care; High energy accidents and injury mechanisms and anatomy & physiology. Primary survey, patient´s care and radiological examinations. The use contrast media. Radiation protection of patient and staff. Assessment and care of a trauma patient; Interprofessional team work and collaboration. |
