Objectives | The student is able to apply knowledge of physical principles of bone density, CBCT and fluoroscopy. Student knows medical use of them and is able to perform quality assurance tests. Student understands the principles of dose management.The student is aware how to work in a safe way in data transportation and data archiving to PACS. Student demonstrates ability to compare modalities and imaging receptors taking in to account image quality and patient's and staff's dose optimization. |
Content | Safe use of CBCT, bone density and fluoroscopy. Radiation dose and factors effecting to dose. Dose calculation and comparing doses between different modalities including plain radiography, CT, mammorgaphy, MRI, and US. Quality assurance. Image processing, PACS and RIS. Security aspects in imaging and image transportation. |
