| OF00CJ30 | Musculoskeletal Physioterapy (18 op) |
| Esitietovaatimukset | Competencies gained on courses of physiotherapeutic assessment, physiotherapy methods and education and guidance studies marked on curricula. |
| Osaamistavoitteet | The student is able to tell about the most common disorders of the musculoskeletal system, orthopaedic surgeries and describe their adverse effects on ability of functioning. The student is able to carry out the most common physiotherapeutic examinations as well as plan and implement physiotherapeutic interventions based on his/her assessments both in outpatient clinic and on an orthopaedic ward. The student is able to find the central sources of information relating to the field of physiotherapy and is to widen and deepen his/her physiotherapeutic knowledge and skills using research literature. The student can tell different phases of rehabilitation and care chains and is able to describe the impact of them on persons undergoing rehabilitation. The student gets familiar with the vocabulary of physiotherapy and is able to read and produce texts and presentations in English. She/he is able to work in international work situations and networks. She/he gains in English European framework language level B1. |
| Sisältö | 1. Basics of musculoskeletal disorders, 1 cr Disorders of the musculoskeletal system and orthopaedic surgeries. Orthopaedic surgeries and their adverse effects on ability of functioning. 2. Basics of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, 4 cr Physiotherapeutic examinations of functional ability. Physiotherapeutic interventions among musculoskeletal patients. Pre- and post- operative physiotherapy for orthopaedic patients. Rehabilitation system among patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Multidiscipline collaboration in rehabilitation and health care. 3. Professional communication, part 2, 2 cr Professional texts and presentations in English. 4. Workshop of musculoskeletal physioterapy, 2 cr 5. Fysioterapian perusharjoittelu, 9 op (executed in Finnish) |

| Lisätietoja opiskelijoille | Ohjattu harjoittelu arvioidaan hyväksytty/hylätty. Harjoittelujakson tulee olla hyväksytysti suoritettu ennen seuraavan lukukauden harjoittelujakson käynnistymistä. HOT: Lähihoitajakoulutuksen ja sen jälkeisen vähintään vuoden mittaisen, kohderyhmältään vastaavan, työkokemuksen perusteella voidaan hyväksilukea max 1 op ohjatun harjoittelun osiosta. |
