Description

YY00EJ20	Oral Skills in Finnish Language (3 cr)
Prerequisites	YY00EJ18 Finnish Language 7: Working Life or equivalent knowledge of Finnish (Proficiency level B1.1)
Objectives	I express myself verbally with relative ease. I understand the main points and most important details of the speech even in somewhat demanding contexts. I am able to give a prepared presentation on a topic related to my field or well known. The target level is B1.2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Content	Group communication and listening comprehension. Prepared oral presentation. Recognizing one’s own strengths and areas of development in oral language skills. Differences between informal and formal language in spoken Finnish. Finnish communication culture.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
