Prerequisites | Level I and Level II are assessed as passed or the student has attained 140 ECTS. |
Objectives | The student will be able to: • describe the role of nurses during emergencies, disasters, and pandemics; • discuss the role of nurses in the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC); • identify the emerging global health issues affecting the healthcare systems; • explain the issues surrounding the nursing workforce migration; and • analyze the challenges concerning nursing education, leadership, and governance. |
Content | The students will learn the following concepts: • Nursing roles in 21st-century health systems • Universal Health Coverage • International Nurse Migration and Mobility • Local and International Nursing Organizations • Advanced Nurse Practitioners/Clinical Nurse Specialists in Europe • Role of Nurses in Climate Change, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and conflict situations • Governance and Leadership in Nursing |
