ON00DV41 | Intensive and Critical Care Nursing II (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | Level I and Level II studies are completed without deficits or have completed 120 credits of nursing studies. The course in Critical Care Nursing I must be completed. |
Objectives | The student is able to: • choose appropriate acute and intensive care nursing processes according to the patient's condition; • give patient guidance and support patient's relatives; • demonstrate skills in enhancing acute and critical nursing from the aspect of research, guidelines, best practices, and patient safety; • observe and analyse possible ethical challenges in nursing; • use medical technology safely in nursing critical care patients and understand the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation; • participate in multidisciplinary team activities; and • understand the care pathway of emergency medical services - emergency department - critical care. |
