Description

TM00DY02	Pneumatics and Hydraulics (5 cr)
Prerequisites	No prerequisites.
Objectives	The student is able to identify typical components of the pneumatic and hydraulic system The student is able to explain the operation of the pneumatic and hydraulic system using a PI diagram. The student is able to design a pneumatic or hydraulic system typical of the area of expertise of the orientation option, is able to define the key components of the system and the control.
Content	Basics of compressed air. Development, transfer and use of compressed air. Components of pneumatics. Selection and design of pneumatic systems and their components Basics of hydraulics. Hydraulic components. Design of the hydraulic system.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.

The student is able to interpret the operation of the pneumatic/hydraulic system using the PI diagram. good (3-4) The student is able to simulate the operation of the pneumatic/hydraulic system. The student is able to select the components for the compressed air network. The student is able to apply electronically controlled components as part of the pneumatics/hydraulic system excellent (5) The student is able to apply various pneumatic and hydraulic components in an application typical of the field of education. The student is able to dimension the components of an application typical of the field of education.
