Objectives After completing the course, the student is able to
- design basic machine parts and structures under fatigue load (2 ECTS)
- implement computer-based analysis to simple beam structures (2 ECTS)
- draw a free body diagram, form an equation of motion and solve them (3 ECTS)
- form and solve differential equations (3 ECTS)

The student understands the effect of fatigue loading and basic principles of beam structures. The student knows basic principles of dynamic equilibriums and correlation between differential equations and physical phenomenas.

good (3-4)
The student understands basic principles of analytical and numerical solutions and is able to solve simple equations of motion. The student is able to solve problems of fatigue loading.

excellent (5)
The student is able to build mathematical model of simple dynamical systems. The student is able to solve 1st and 2nd degree differential equations analytically and numerically. The student is able to design basic machine parts and structures under fatique load and implement computer-based analysis to simple beam structures.
