TM00DU13 | Engineering Mathematics 2 (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | Mathematics 1 or equivalent knowledge. |
Objectives | Upon completion of the course the student knows the basics of solid geometry, matrices, vectors and complex numbers. The student is able to solve exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric equations. The student is able to differentiate and integrate functions of one variable and knows some essential applications related to his/her own branch of engineering. |
Content | Depending of the branch of engineering: Matrices, vectors, complex numbers, solid geometry. Exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Differential and integral calculus. |

The student is able to solve simple exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric equations. The student is able to differentiate and integrate simple functions of one variable. good (3-4) The student is able to apply problemsolving skills to various problems. The student is able to justify the chosen solution methods. The student is able to apply his/her skills to differentiate and integrate functions of one variable and knows some essential applications related to his/her own branch of engineering. excellent (5) The student can find parallel solution methods for solving mathematical problems. The student can justify the meaningfullness and practicality of the solutions in general and in problems arising in their own professional field. |
