Objectives | The student can talk about everyday topics and express oneself in leisure time and working life situations. The student can understand short written messages and simple texts. The student can write simple sentences. The student expands the Finnish vocabulary and increases the knowledge of grammatical structures. The student has a more detailed knowledge of the Finnish language and culture. |
Content | Communication skills in ordinary everyday situations. Further knowledge of the Finnish vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation: Partitive plural case, basics of object case, the consonant gradation of k-p-t in verb types 3 and 4, demonstrative and personal pronouns, some specific noun types, object form, postpositions, ordinal numbers, subordinate clauses. The topics: travelling, vehicles, work and professions, transactions in hotel and restaurant, telling and asking the way phrases, Finnish culture and lifestyle. |
