Prerequisites | Research and Development Methods Parts I and II (see DIB Curriculum) |
Objectives | The student understands the thesis process and composes a thesis topic. The student develops his/her academic writing competence by learning to use different structures, create cohesion in the text, write definitions, establish links between cause and effect, paraphrase, use appropriate citation techniques, verbalize visual data, punctuate and write a concise thesis abstract. |
Content | Thesis process, generating and designing thesis topic, characteristics of academic writing style, structure and cohesion, definitions, cause and effect, argumentation, paraphrasing, language for visuals, referencing, punctuation, abstract. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
