Objectives | The student who has worked in the executive board of a student union learns to function as an active member of society and the student community. The student can apply his or her learned skills in meeting and negotiation techniques to similar organizations and situations. The student knows the fundamentals of student union activity and the methods of societal influence. |
Content | Working in the executive board of a student union, decision making in an association, possibilities for student to exercise influence in society, the higher education system of universities of applied sciences, societal decision making, meeting and negotiation techniques, organizing of events and projects. |

Further Information | After working in the executive board of a student union, the study diary and monthly report of tutor activities must be returned to OSAKO’s Specialist in Tutoring and Education. The Specialist recommends the amount of credits (4-10 cr) and either pass or fail of the course to the study counsellor who is responsible for the registration of the study credits. Example of the extent of 10 credits: student tutoring, working as a tutor representative and working in the executive board of a student union. |
