IN00ED21 Entrepreneurship (3 cr)
Prerequisites -
Objectives Student knows the main definitions and contents of the entrepreneurship and the main stages of entrepreneurship and innovation process from business idea to the new venture creation. The student knows the main principles of product development and IPR management as part of the new business to be developed. Student is able to search and identify business opportunities, particularly in their own field of expertise. The student knows the main stages of utilizing a business opportunity and can identify the effects of different forms of entrepreneurship on business models. The student understands the importance of entrepreneurship in society. The student is able to utilize support networks in building new companies. Students explores information about entrepreneurship as a career option.
Content Definitions of entrepreneurship, entrepreneur minded behaviors, the meaning of entrepreneurship in society. Searching, discovering, evaluating and describing for business opportunities. Business model and business plan. Main phases of exploiting a business opportunity.
Product development and Intelligent Property Rights as a part of business. Entrepreneur capabilities. Support networks of entrepreneurship and key stakeholders.

The student is able to use the basic concepts learned in the course. The student recognizes the phenomena related to the course. The student is able to satisfactorily express the definitions of the course. The student completes the given tasks with guidance and knows the different procedures, but doesn’t know how to justify their choices. The student knows how to give and receive feedback by examining and evaluating from own perspective. The student has interaction skills and takes resonsibility for own studying.

The student can apply the basic concepts learned in the course. The student analyses the phenomena related to the course and understands well the definitions of the course. The student solves the given tasks and uses the different procedures, knowing how to justify the choices. The student is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively, looking and evaluating from own and environment perspective. The students have good interaction skills and are ready to develop themselves in their studies.

The student solves excellently the given tasks and uses the different procedures creatively, evaluating the justification of the choices.
