Objectives | I understand the basic components of the computer and their importance for the operation of the computer. I am aware of the importance of recycling and the life-cycle approach of the product. I know how to use the most common features of operating systems and I know the differences between different operating systems. I understand the differences between the graphical and the command line operating system. I know the most important commands in command line systems, I also use the Windows command prompt if necessary, and I understand the importance of environmental variables. I know how to use the directory path and understand the basics of files including data units. I use either a physical hard disk or a network disc, as appropriate. I understand the difference between desktop and online versions of software and I know how to install software on a computer. I understand the concepts of digitalisation, know future trends and know how to apply digitalisation in my studies and work. |
