OT00DO54 | Practical training in family oriented public health nursing of pregnancy and children (12 cr) |
Prerequisites | The student has completed 140 credits of studies in the nursing degree programme and the theory of health care work for pregnant women and families with children. |
Objectives | The student is able to apply evidence-based skills needed for the internship environment and to act customer-oriented in the care of pregnancy, children and family. The student is able to apply customer-oriented methods of health promotion and ethical guidelines and principles for public health nursing. The student is able to act as a responsible member of a multidisciplinary team and community. |
Content | Practical training in public health nursing of pregnancy and birth and nursing of children and family. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
Accomplishment methods | The student set personal learning objectives for the traineeship. The student practise in a goal-oriented way, making use of the learning opportunities offered by the traineeship unit. The student acquire and use evidence-based knowledge. The student carry out learning tasks and self-assessment as part of the traineeship. |
