Objectives | The student will be able to: - explain and name the primary and secondary uses of health and well-being information in the social and health care service transaction and understand the relationship between them. - Identify the different roles of the client and the professional in the secondary use of information. - explain the importance of multi-professional information exchange in social and health care between service providers. - explain how electronic exchange of social and health care information between providers can improve quality of care and patient safety. - identify and evaluate ethical issues related to the secondary use of information. - know the different ways in which information generated in a service transaction can be collected and used in social and health care. |
