Prerequisites The student has completed at least 140 CR in nursing degree programs.
Objectives The student knows the legislation governing and safety in occupational health care and understand the principles of good occupational health practice in general.
The student knows the social and health care services for working-age people and the roles of occupational health nurses in them.
The student knows the basic processes of occupational health care (workplace assessment, activity planning, health checks, counselling and guidance, work capacity support, occupational health nursing).
The student identifies the impact of work, work communities and work environments on health.
The student plans, implements and evaluates occupational health activities for the working age and the workplace in an occupational health partnership.
The student assess health-related exposures, stress and resource factors at work and make recommendations and proposals for action.
The student works in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams and networks.
