Description


OT00DO54 Practical training in family oriented public health nursing of pregnancy and children (12 cr)
Prerequisites The student has completed 140 credits of studies in the nursing degree programme and the theory of health care work for pregnant women and families with children.
Objectives The student is able to apply evidence-based skills needed for the internship environment and to act customer-oriented in the care of pregnancy, children and family.
The student is able to apply customer-oriented methods of health promotion and ethical guidelines and principles for public health nursing.
The student is able to act as a responsible member of a multidisciplinary team and community.
Content Practical training in public health nursing of pregnancy and birth and nursing of children and family.
Recommended optional programme components If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods The student set personal learning objectives for the traineeship.
The student practise in a goal-oriented way, making use of the learning opportunities offered by the traineeship unit.
The student acquire and use evidence-based knowledge.
The student carry out learning tasks and self-assessment as part of the traineeship.
