AT00EF83	Internship 1 (5 cr)
Prerequisites	The Practical Training 1 course can only be started after the Elements of Dance and Pedagogy, Learning and Pedagogical Guidance and Basics of Education courses have been completed.
Objectives	I plan, implement and evaluate dance teaching in the context of school dance. I choose teaching methods suitable for school dance. I am able to function actively in different learning and teaching situations and environments whilst taking others into consideration. I analyse the dance teacher's work and my position as a responsible dance teacher. I evaluate the development of my skills, my development needs and my strengths.
Content	Work placement as a dance teacher in school. Planning, implementing, evaluating and developing teaching. Discussions with placement supervisor.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.

Execution methods	Implementation is been agreed with Internship Supervisor. If the student wishes to take into account the previously acquired competence, the student initiates the accreditation process. Accreditation of learning (HOT) application is filled in Peppi. Evaluation Criteria	Approved/Failed
Evaluation Criteria	pass/fail I write and return the internship plan with the contract as instructed. I create a teaching plan. I plan my lessons, discuss them with my supervisor, and make the necessary changes to the plans. I teach dancing in a school environment for a total of 42 hours. I video my two lessons and evaluate my knowledge with them. I log my work hours and I keep a reflective diary of my training. At the end of the internship, I return the training report as instructed. I evaluate the development of my skills, my development needs and my strengths.
