AT00DW71	Bachelor’s Thesis Design (15 cr)
Prerequisites	Not applicable
Objectives	I master the methods and approaches of dance research and development activities. I use information about research trends and projects in the field of dance when preparing the thesis plan. I apply my knowledge and skills in a development or research task related to the working life in dance. I collect research material and/or implement a dance-related project as part of the task. Based on the research material and/or the project, I will write a thesis and present it orally. In the thesis, I demonstrate familiarity with my thesis's subject area and the concepts and methods used. In my thesis, I evaluate my skills, development needs and strengths in dance research and development activities.
Content	Research and development in dance, information acquisition, source criticism. Familiarizing with research literature and articles and preparing a research plan and discussing them. Collecting, analyzing and articulating research material. If necessary, the implementation of the artistic or pedagogical section related to the thesis process. Written presentation of process versions in seminars. Writing a thesis based on the process. Oral and written presentations of the thesis in midterm and final seminars.
Recommended optional programme components	If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan.
Accomplishment methods	I participate in the seminar sessions on the implementation of the research and development work, do the required tasks, prepare the thesis plan, and present it in the seminar. I implement the empirical and/or practical part of the thesis. I present different phases of the process in webinars. I write a midterm seminar paper and a thesis and present these in seminars.

I actively participate in the required seminar sessions or familiarize myself with the implementation materials independently. 2. I perform the required research and development tasks in accordance with the instructions. 3. I write a feasible thesis plan. 4. I do the seminar tasks of the implementation phase according to the instructions. 5. I present a midterm seminar work according to the instructions. Evaluation of the thesis according to the evaluation framework (1–5).
