| Objectives | PART 1. BASIC INTERVENTIONS IN ORAL HEALTH CARE AND ORIENTATION TOWARDS ORAL HEALTH CARE (2 ECTS) The student had gained knowledge about instruments and materials used in basic oral health care. The student develops ability to perform basic dental practices belonging to a dental surgery assistants job description. The student develops knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic dental practices belonging to a dental surgery assistants job description PART 2. PRACTICAL TRAINING IN THE HEALTH CARE CENTER ( 6 ECTS) The student demonstrates ability to perform the most common dental practices belonging to a dental surgery assistants job description. The student is able to take care of dental clinics and instruments hygiene and maintenance. |
| Content | PART 1. BASIC INTERVENTIONS IN ORAL HEALTH CARE AND ORIENTATION TOWARDS ORAL HEALTH CARE (2 ECTS) Safe use of instruments, equipment and supplies for basic dental procedures in a simulation exercise. Refurbishment of the dental unit. Duties of the dental nurse in basic dental procedures for caries patients in a simulation exercise. Regording of patient health during the examination of a caries patient. Environmental friendliness. Familiarisation with the dental care environment and basic dental procedures and cooperation with dental students. PART 2. PRACTICAL TRAINING IN THE HEALTH CARE CENTER ( 6 ECTS) Training in basic dental work in a health centre. |
