Prerequisites No prerequisites needed.
Objectives The student has gained basic knowledge about microbes, their impact on human life, transmission modes and pathogenesis of infections. The student has knowledge about the natural defence system of the body and the ways how to increase the efficiency of it. The student has an understanding of the importance of microbiology for the health care field. The student has gained basic knowledge about pathology and changes in the body caused by diseases as well as the collection and proper handling of tissue specimens and cell samples. The student has an understanding of the impact of pathology laboratory services on the overall nursing care of patients.
