7T00DF04 Mental Health Promotion of Children and Adolescents (5 cr)
Prerequisites First year studies.
Objectives The student analyzes the well-being and mental health of children, adolescents and their families. The student can assess and implement strategies for promotion of psychosocial well-being and mental health, and prevention of mental disorders of children and adolescents. The student assesses multiprofessional and multisectoral cooperation in mental health work with children, adolescents and their parents and families.
Content Promoting mental health of children and adolescents. Psychosocial wellbeing and awareness of mental health. Risks and protective factors in childhood at the biological, psychological, family, social, cultural and community level. Mental health services. Family-oriented, multiprofessional and multisectoral social support and working orientation.
