Description
TW00CI35 | Three-Phase Systems (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | TW00CH91 Industrial Electronics and AC Circuits |
Objectives | After the course the student - is able to calculate the electrical magnitudes of symmetric 3- phase systems - knows the typical problems caused by asymmetric systems - is able to describe how the structure and couplings affect in the transformer and Network. |
Content | Symmetric star and delta couplings. Voltages, currents, and active, reactive and apparent power of 3-phase systems. Non-symmetric 3- phase systems. Equivalent circuits. Phasor calculations. Construction and characteristics of 3-phase transformers. Couplings of power transformers, coupling groups and voltage regulators. Laboratory work. Controlled laboratory, simulation and exercises. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
