Objectives | After the course the student -is able to explain the structure of electrical transmission and distribution lines. |
Content | Essential conceps of power distribution networks; economic dimensions of distribution network; electricity market; factors affecting reliability, voltage quality and a price. Structure of the transfer and distribution networks; components; the essential functions of substations. Planning and developing electricity networks; starting points and principles for planning; evaluation of loads and dimensioning of low voltage and middle voltage networks; modelling of the network and network calculation. Safety viewpoints, protection principles, central matters of regulations and instructions. Building and maintenance of the network. Basics of High-voltage component. |
