Objectives | After completing the course, the student will recognize the structure and features of an automation system. They will understand the significance of instrumentation, measurements, and controls in process automation. They will be able to interpret applications of automation systems, modify them, and create basic automation system applications. |
Content | The structure, properties and interfacing of a process automation system. Basics of application development. Configuration of the user interface for an automation system. |

They understand the purposes of different parts of an automation application. The student can interpret the operation of an automation system application effectively, locate the part of the application that is not working correctly, and rectify the faulty application. The student can make necessary modifications to their own and others' applications. They can create simple applications and user interface configurations for an automation system. The student knows how to access the support material for the automation system and can retrieve supplementary materials from it. excellent (5) The student is familiar with the components of an automation system and their purposes. They understand the purposes of different parts of an automation application. The student can interpret the operation of an automation system application effectively, locate the part of the application that is not working correctly, and rectify the faulty application.
