Prerequisites | No prerequisites needed. |
Objectives | The student is able to explain and interpret overall environmental circumstances, building physical concepts and functions and is able to apply them to typical structures of small houses and to compose production and detail drawings using information sources in construction industry. The student knows and is able to generally name the different types and composition parts of a building framework. The student is able to explain the general process of housing construction, its participants and their tasks and explain and describe the essential concepts of building regulations. |
Content | Information sources in construction industry. Subsoil and foundations, building frameworks and envelope structures. Building physical functions, loadings, heat, moisture, voice. Construction process, the parties involved and their tasks. Essential building regulations, concepts of fire resistance and sound regulations. Contents and interpretation of different drawings in house construction. |
