Curricula
Description
TF00DL44 | Concrete Structures 2 (5 cr) |
Prerequisites | Concrete Structures 1, Concrete Material Technology 1 and 2 or corresponding knowledge of above-mentioned courses. |
Objectives | The student acquires the skills required in the design principles of demanding concrete structures in ultimate and serviceability limit state and the practice of structural design of reinforced concrete structures. The student is able to design typical reinforced concrete structures for building and infrastructure construction. The student can describe tensioning methods, mechanical behaviour and theories in modelling of prestressed concrete. |
Content | Methods for calculating slab structures manually and with application programs and dimensioning of slab structures. Modeling of reinforced concrete structure in SLS: calculation and limitation of stresses, crack widths and deflections. Dimensioning of walls and foundations. Design practices and structural solutions for structural members, covers ultimate and serviceability limit states. Tensioning methods and materials. |
Recommended optional programme components | If necessary, the student advisor will recommend optional programme components for each student based on their individual study plan. |
