Objectives	The student can determine stresses in a simple beam and truss structures. The student can determine the dimensions of simple structure by elastic theory.
Content	Basics in statics, point force and its components, moment of force, resultants of forces, reactions, internal loadings in beams and strusses. Normal force, shear and bending, elastic design of beam cross-section.
