Objectives	Student can identify different architectural styles different eras and knows their technical and cultural backgrounds. To be able to name and criticize the most important examples of modern architecture of the 20th century aAnd main features and forces in modern architecture.
Content	International development of the history of architecture in outline. Great architectural periods andimportant sites of Europe. The backgrounds of modern architecture. Development of Finnisharchitecture and architectural history. Recognition of important sites and architectural features. Concepts and terms of architectural history. Culture- and art historical framework of architecture.
