Objectives | The student identifies and is able to enumerate the magnitudes and units of mechanics. The student knows how to make unit conversion. The student is able to solve equations in quantities of physics. The student is able to explain phenomena connected to mechanics, thermal energy, oscillation, wave motion, electricity, magnetism, atomic and nuclear physics. The student can solve simple problems connected to the above mentioned areas. |
Content | Physical magnitudes and units. Equations in magnitude. Translational motion of a body. The work, energy and power. Hydromechanics. Normal stress and shearing stress. Heat expansion, energy and thermal capacity of change of state. Heat engine and cooling apparatus. Oscillating motion. Phenomena of electricity and magnetism. Wave motion. Atom and nuclear physics. Experimental physical work in laboratory. |
