OQ00EH63 Computed Tomography Examinations and Procedures, professional training (6 cr)
Prerequisites Professional studies in Computed tomography examinations must be passed (including drug dosage calculation).
Objectives The student is able to implement patient-centered and individual patient guidance at different stages of the patient pathway. The student is able to work flexibly as a team member, considering the patient's condition and situation. The student is able to implement infection control methods in his/her practice.

Students is able to plan, perform and evaluate computed tomography examinations and CT guided procedures safely and appropriately. The student is able to use the computed tomography equipment and methods appropriately and responsibly. The students is able to plan, implement and evaluate an evidence-based information task.
The student is able to document patient information and ensure continuity of care. The student is responsible in maintaining confidentiality of patient data and comply with data protection policies.

The student is able to implement the radiation safety culture and identifies radiation safety problems as a team member. The student is able to act in accordance with the safety practices of the unit. The student recognises the emergency preparedness of the unit and is able to work as part of a team in emergency situations.

The student is self-directed and takes responsibility for his/her own learning. The student is able to work as a member of a team, demonstrating good work skills. The student is able to act in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
Content Computed tomography examinations and CT-guided procedures. Patient guidance and nursing care during computed tomography examinations and procedures. Radiation dose optimization in computed tomography. Contrast agents and treatment of reactions due to them. The evidence-based information task
