OQ00EH57 | Professional Training of X-ray Examinations I (12 cr) |
Prerequisites | The student has passed the following studies: Safe Use of Medical Radiation, Safe Use of Medical Radiation, Professional Training and Radiological Procedures of X-ray Examinations. |
Objectives | The student is able to apply different guidance methods to guide patients individually throughout the examination process in the most common X-ray examinations. The student is able as a team member to work flexibly, considering the patient's condition and situation. The student is be able to implement infection control methods in his/ her practice. The student able to plan, perform and evaluate common radiological examinations in a safely, optimized and with quality. The student is able to use the equipment and methods of the examinations appropriately and responsibly. The student is able to document the examination to ensure continuity of care. The student is responsible for maintaining confidentiality of patient data and complies with data protection policies. The student is able as a team member to radiation safety culture and identifies radiation safety problems. The student is able to act in accordance with the safety practices of the clinical training unit. The student recognizes the first aid preparedness of the radiology unit and is able to act as a team member in emergency situations. The student is self-directed and takes responsibility for his/ her own learning. The student is able to work as a team member, demonstrating good working life skills through behavior. The student is able to act in accordance with the principles of economic and sustainable development. The student is able to carry out a quality assurance test related to the use of radiation and understand the significance of the test result. |
Content | Department of diagnostic radiology: operation and collaboration. X-ray examinations of the respiratory organs and the skeletal system. Radiation dose optimization in X-ray examinations. |
