OG00CP45 Efficiency and Effectiveness with Social and Health Care Management (5 cr)
Prerequisites Not applicable
Objectives 1. The student analyses the main evaluation concepts, evaluation trends and their interrelationships.
2. The student will evaluate and apply different methods and indicators of evaluation of performance and effectiveness (efficiency, productivity, impact, effectiveness) in practice.
3. Design a needs-based co-creation solution to a management or practical work-related challenge.
4. Students will use co-creation methods and evaluate the effectiveness of the solution in developing evidence-based practice management.
5. The student will analyse his/her process of growing as a pre-service worker from the perspective of evidence-based practice management and knowledge management.

Evaluation Criteria satisfactory (1-2)
1. The student describes and defines the key concepts of operational and performance evaluation (efficiency, productivity, impact, effectiveness) and their use: economic evaluation of methods, evidence-based practice and its management, knowledge management and sustainable productivity of well-being at work in a changing environment.
2. The student will examine the concepts of impact and effectiveness evaluation, evidence-based practice, the importance of well-being at work productivity and knowledge management through example organisations and will form an understanding of the relationships between them.
3. The student will design and conceptualise the impact and effectiveness evaluation of a needs-based co-development activity. The student will justify the solution chosen for the co-creation task mainly on the basis of national expertise. The student will describe where impact data is available and how the potential co-development solution can be evaluated.
4. In their Leadership Growth Diary, students will describe their understanding and knowledge of leadership effectiveness and efficiency. The student will draw conclusions for the creation of his/her own management approach. He/she will describe his/her growth as a manager from the perspective of evidence-based management and knowledge-based management.
5. The student will draw on research and expert sources, with a focus on expert sources, to address the given topics.
