Objectives	The student familiarizes him/herself with different types of multifocal spectacle lenses. The student gains knowledge about the properties of induced and prescribed ophthalmic prisms. The student familiarizes him/herself with the edging process using a pattern-less edger. The student demonstrates ability to use the lensometer for verifying and spotting prismatic, bifocal and progressive lenses.
Content	Multifocal lenses Ophthalmic prisms and prismatic effects of lenses Lens edging and beveling using a patterned edger Measuring and verifying prismatic and multifocal lenses Fitting and adjusting frames for the wearer Error tolerance system
