Objectives | The student familiarizes him/herself with knowledge, understanding and skills, and be able to examine and manage patients who suffer from binocular vision problems and who are at risk of developing binocular vision problems. The student |
Content | Nature of binocular vision anomalies. Binocular vision routine examination. Evaluation and management of heterophoria. Treatment with spectacles, contact lenses and vision therapy. Evaluation and management of heterotropia (strabismus). Examination and management of incomitant deviations and nystagmus. Anomalies of Accommodation and Accommodative Vergence and treatment of them. Amblyopia, sensory fusion and stereopsis, fixation disparity, anomalous correspondence and suppresion. |
